Fujiko F. Fujio is a legendary name associated with the childhood of the 8X, 9X and even 10X generations today.

Fujiko F. Fujio was born on December 1, 1933 in Toyama Prefecture.

After graduating from high school in 1952, small-town boy Hiroshi then went to work at a confectionery company because of the reality of making money, temporarily putting aside his dream of being a manga artist, which at that time seemed very unrealistic.

Hiroshi and Motoo’s dream of manga grew so much that they went to Tokyo together to find opportunities and drew day and night.

In 1970, Fujiko F. Fujio started writing Doraemon without thinking that the earless blue cat would become a legend.

But initially, Doraemon did not attract much attention from children.

In 1988, Hiroshi and Motoo ended their partnership and after that, they operated independently.

On September 23, 1996, at the age of 62, the famous painter died of long-term liver cancer.

According to the late artist’s daughter and assistant Shintaro Mugiwara, in the last days of his life, even though his health was very weak, he still worked hard on his work.

Although Doraemon brings joy and dreams to readers, Fujiko F. Fujio believes that he is the character Nobita: `I am Nobita.

To honor Fujiko F. Fujio, in 2012, the Kawasaki City Government, Fujiko Manufacturing Company and his widow jointly implemented a project to build the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in his hometown.

Although Fujiko F. Fujio passed away and never completed the comic series, that also helped Doraemon never end.
